Ms. Pat Comedy Moves to BET +
A scripted comedy from Ms. Pat is coming to BET+ with a 10 episode series order. Lee Daniels and Brian Glazer are on board.
Ms. Pat, born Patricia Williams is brilliantly funny and one of the most authentic and original voices anywhere in comedy. The series is based on her comedy and her memoir, “Rabbit.” If you haven’t read it, get your hands on a copy now. You won’t put it down until you’re done. The multi-camera sitcom series will tell the her story in all its sharp detail. Ms Pat has not had an easy life. Born in in the type of circumstances that would break most people, Patricia beat the odds, and overcame obstacle after obstacle to get where she is now.
The series positions Ms. Pat in middle America, a suburban mom and wife, with a struggle of a sister, and two sets of kids, but her past as a former convicted felon shapes her struggles and experiences.
J. Bernard Calloway plays Mx. Pat’s husband, Tami Roman plays her sister.
Initially picked up by Hulu, the series will now air on BET+
We don’t care where the Ms. Pat comedy lands, as long as the world gets a chance to see it. She’s a star in the making.
