Laughing in the face of 2020

New Amazon comedy special with Phoebe Robinson and Rachel Brosnahan

A number of female comedians are to look back over 2020 in a new  Amazon Prime comedy special.

Phoebe Robinson will host Yearly Departed,  with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan among those appearing.

Robinson, best known for the 2 Dope Queens podcast and HBO series, said: ‘I’m ready to put 2020 on fire like I'm barbecuing at a black family reunion. All kidding aside, the world is beyond stressful and confusing, so I'm honoured to help take everyone's minds off the heaviness with some much-needed comedy while wearing a fresh wig.

And Brosnahan, who is also one of the executive producers, added: ‘I can’t imagine a better way to lay this unfathomably awful year to rest than giving some of the world’s funniest women the last word.’

The rest of the line-up for Yearly Departed has yet to be announced. It will launch this winter on Amazon Prime Video worldwide.
