Emily Atack and Laura Whitmore sign up to Celebrity Juice

New team captains to join Keith Lemon

Emily Atack and  Laura Whitmore are to be the new team captains on funnyman Keith Lemon’s  Celebrity Juice, ITV2 has announced.

But the show will be changing its name to  Celeb Juice, following the departure of longstanding team captain Holly Willoughby. Mel B also announced she was stepping down earlier this year, after two seasons leading the opposing team.

Both Atack and Whitmore – friends in real life  –  have appeared as guests on the show in the past

Inbetweeners and I'm A Celebrity star Atack said: ‘Every time I’ve been on Juice in the past I’ve had such a good time, and now I’m doing it with two of my best mates and I’m a ruddy team captain.

‘Can’t believe it. I dread to think what we're going to be faced with, but Whitmore should know that I won’t be backing down and she is going to have some tough competition. But more importantly a wonderfully hilarious time. Bring it on.’

Whitmore added: ‘I’m so thrilled to be part of the Celeb Juice Family. I’ve been the biggest fan for years, I used to go and sit in the audience when I first moved to London and can’t believe I’m a team captain now. I cannot wait to get stuck .’

Whitmore’s partner is comedian Iain Stirling, another of ITV2’s most familiar voices as narrator of Love Island.

Host Keith Lemon added: "Can’t wait to start new celeb juice with old friends. Exciting times ahead! The funnest job ever!’

The show, made by Talkback, will be returning to ITV this autumn for eight 45-minute episodes, and two hour-long specials.

This will be the 24th series of the show, which launched in 2008.
