The killer line up features comedians we’ve had a lot to say about over the years, like Janelle James who has been on The Comedy Lineup on Netflix, she’s got her own Comedy Festival,   Rob Haze  who you’ve seen on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Calise Hawkins from Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell) who just put out a great album, and Dewayne Perkins  who just made the very prestigious list, 2020 Variety’s 10 Comics To Watch. The show will be hosted by  Franqi French who was also just named one of Variety’s 10 Comics To Watch in 2020 and you can expect more great names to come.

Where is this amazing event taking place? Nowhere (and everywhere)! 2020’s fastest rising comedy club, Nowhere Comedy Club will host the event online where everyone can attend no matter where you are physically located. Nowhere Comedy Club has sold over 22,000 tickets since the start of Covid-19 shutdowns, replaced over $300,000 worth of work for comedians, and has quickly become the premiere destination for live comedy online.

Nowhere Comedy Club is working together with L.O.C.A. (the Ladies of Comedy Association) and Comedy Gives Back to produce the show which will take place Saturday September 24th. The event’s proceeds are earmarked for black performers for a forthcoming BIPOC fund for which will be distributed by Comedy Gives Back. Comedy Gives Back’s mission is to create a safety net for comedians in need, and they’ve already raised over $350,000 to help comedians in need of Covid-19 assistance. L.O.C.A. is a bicoastal networking organization dedicated to advancing the careers and positions of women on the business side of comedy. With over 450 members across the U.S., our organization includes broadcast and cable network executives, agents, managers, publicists, lawyers, casting directors, producers and more.

Black Comics Matter: a Comedy Gives Back fundraising comedy show goes live on September 24th at 9pm in the East, 6pm on the West Coast.
