Apple orders a third series of Esther Smith and Rafe Spall comedy

Apple TV+ has commissioned its comedy Trying – starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall as a couple going through an adoption – for a third series.

The news comes before the launch of the second series, today revealed as Friday, May 14, with the eight new episodes being released weekly.

Returning cast includes Imelda Staunton as the couple’s eccentric social worker Penny, Ophelia Lovibond, Oliver Chris, Sian Brooke, Darren Boyd and Robyn Cara. 

Trying  is created, written and executive produced by Andy Wolton and made in in the UK by BBC Studios.
