Nish Kumar announces a 2022 tour

55 dates for new show, Control

Mash Report  host Nish Kumar has announced a 55-date tour for 2022, entitled Control.

The title is a reference to the Brexiteers’ rallying cry of ‘take back control’ and promises his usual agitated take on politics.

He said: ‘It has been a period of upheaval and uncertainty with Covid and the political situation. You will be amazed by my capacity to somehow take all these things personally.’

Kumar was famously booed while performing at the Lord's Taverners annual charity cricket lunch in December 2019 – a fact he defiantly mentions in his press release, countering it with Bob Dylan’s quote: ‘You can boo, but booing’s got nothing to do with it.’

The tour hicks off in Hull  on February 2 and winds up at the Machynlleth Comedy Festival  in May - the full schedule is below.

Tickets go on sale at 10am next Wednesday, March 31.

Kumar has previously performed five  solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, two of which have been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award. His TV appearances include   Taskmaster, Live At The Apollo, QI  and Have I Got News For You.
